Hidden Fire Shell Pendant Necklace

Bold and beautiful, this woven island medallion lei features snake head cowrie in a graphic color block star pattern. Perfect for a luau, hula or a wedding. An unusual design that includes spots of red seed pods for a bit of unexpected pop. Cream conch form a rope, smooth and comfortable, the warm color flattering against the skin. Oversized and eye catching!   Hypoallergenic, no clasp, slips over head.  26 inches long, not including medallion. Please see photos for scale and measurements. Hangs a little higher than shown on Kimo (my model) because his neck doesn’t have a back. Strung on traditional fishing line.    Colors of white, cream, red, black, brown. Unisex.   Most likely from Tahiti, but could be from Polynesia. Every tribe had its own special designs, and different hula or Haka.  Vintage, exact era unknown.
